Don't Forget the Little People; At Least, Not Me!

Just about everybody I know is working on some kind of project and hoping to hit the jackpot with it; I'm no exception.

I'm morbidly curious to see what happens when somebody does come up triple-sevens. Not so much in terms of what that person will be like when s/he is rich and famous, but more so how his/her social media behavior changes.

You Can't Talk to Me Anymore

Seriously. What happens when a friend of yours goes from 40 ... or 80 ... or even 200 followers up to 20,000? It likely becomes impossible to keep up with the people you used to know in the flood of fans and sycophants, and I bet those clever - and personal - exchanges get lost.

That kinda sucks.

Buy Me a Beer and We'll Call It Even

I'm fairly certain the "upside" of whatever successes said person might experience will far outweigh any small amount of guilt felt from a little social media snubbing. Any small amount, if at all.

But hey - when you make it, don't forget the rest of us. Take us out for a drink with your new found millions, OK? I'd do the same for you.

Out,
