And Lo, My Very First Post!

Hello, peoples - thanks for the eyes. I'll try to be respectful of your time and make this post as concise as I can, though I tend to be long-winded.

What's Going On Here?

Glad you asked! I launched this site the week of August 15, 2011 and this blog the week after that. It's my intention to make it a hub for everything I'm involved in and a place to update, share knowledge with, and rant at anybody interested.

What Kind of Stuff Will Be Here, Then?

Wow, another great question; you guys are fucking sharp.

There are three major things that I'll be talking about on the site, corresponding to the three main things that eat up most of my time. You should also note, as evidenced above, that this blog occasionally contains big-boy language. If you're squeamish about profanity, it's likely not your cup of tea.

Music Stuff

At heart I'm a musician, classically-trained and brimming with rock 'n roll. I'm going to post demo tracks, commentary on music and new bands I've come across, and some of my (mis-) adventures in audio production and recording. Ideally, you'll be a musician or music enthusiast and find it enjoyable and sometimes helpful.

Web Design, Development and Technologies

By trade, I'm a web designer and developer working 9-to-5 at a Fortune 150 insurance, banking and investment company. I'm especially adept in HTML5, CSS3, Javascript and PHP ... which will likely be mentioned more often than not in my web entries. If you also dig that stuff, bully.

Social Commentary

I tend to be fairly opinionated — founded or not — on just about everything; I'm also more than willing to blubber on about such opinions to anyone willing to listen. There will likely be much pithy observation — again, founded or not — in the posts to follow, covering such topics as music, movies, games, comics, pop-culture, beer, gadgets and the state of our world at large.

I'll further elaborate on each of those as life allows. In the meantime, thanks (again) for the couple minutes it took to check it out. Enjoy whatever it was you were doing prior, and goodspeed.
