Is This the Kind of Blogging Cadence We Can Expect From You?
In my last post, I told you, "I don't want to go too long without posting something here."
It's been almost two weeks and there's been nary a peep, so here's a quick rundown on what's been keeping me so swamped.
I've Got a Case of Severe Burnout
Have you ever watched a candle burn down to nothing, where the wax is completely used up and there's naught left but a stub of a wick coming out of that weird metal-disc-wick-holder-thing? Then in one last gasp for life the flame dies and turns into a wispy tendril of bad-smelling smoke?
That's about where I am.
I'm Selling My House
I was hoping to have my house listed by this month, but there were a couple of things in the way:
Disinterest.
I don't really care about doing the small bit of repair and maintenance to get my house "market-ready." It's fine the way it is; hell, I'm living here.
Just sell it like it is, realtor, and let the next dude fuck with the trim touch-ups and electrical improvements.
Loathing.
I hate my house. I HATE my house and everything it means to be a homeowner. It's liability and an incessant string of chores and a tremendous burden that gets in the way of doing damned near everything else.
So tying-in to the above, it's tough to find motivation to make repairs.
So, What Then?
What then, nothing.
"Hey ... I thought you were gonna post more regularly with music and stuff. Is this the kind of blogging cadence we can expect from you?"
Yes. God damn yes it is.
